Oh Christmas Tree!

The Christmas Tree Trail At Disney Springs

It is no surprise that Disney Springs is the place to be for ANY holiday or season. It is a great place to unwind or get started, eat, drink and shop. With so many great things to do and see the Christmas Tree Trail is just another can’t miss!

We went on a “cold” day in Orlando, a whooping 50 degrees! Coming from New York this is a nice sweater day in Fall, but after living in Florida for a few months I couldn’t help laugh at how cold I was! But then again I am ALWAYS cold, even in the hot Florida summer months.
The Christmas Tree Trail is located near the play fountain outside Once Upon A Toy in the Marketplace. At the entrance you can check in to see Jolly Old St. Nicolas at Santa’s Chalet! Upon check in at the podium you provide a mobile phone number so you can receive a text message when you should return to the podium. It is recommended to return within 10 minutes of receiving the text. You can leisurely explored the Christmas Tree Trail or shop or eat or whatever you want until it is your turn to meet Santa. We know this now. At the time we entered from the end of the Christmas Tree Trail and did not know you had to check in to meet Santa. So these pictures will be in reverse order, if you enter from the location described earlier.

So, like I mentioned before, we didn’t know that you had to check in to meet Santa. It also wasn’t something we we’re planning to do but I saw a cast member and asked how long the wait was. She asked “What is the name you checked in with?” I said “We didn’t, but could I now?” She said “How many in your party?” I said “Four.” She said “Merry Christmas and you can go now to meet Santa!” There was only one family waiting ahead of us and it was the best unexpected thing! No wait!

That’s the end of the Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs. Overall it is a fun experience. There are occasional “snow” that falls and who doesn’t want to meet Santa. In my opinion the trees themselves are pretty but not over the top. This is understandable as there is nothing preventing the trees from tipping over. As a parent of small boys I worry about something breaking and these trees don’t have much to break. So if you’re looking for Rockefeller Center type trees these are not it, but if you are looking for inspiration and getting in a Christmas mood this will do just that! In addition during Stitch’s Holiday Gift Hunt, stop here to spot the hidden Stitch!
